Master Kim has devoted his life to teaching traditional taekwondo for more than 40 years.

Master Kim, 7th dan, of Korean origin and born in Seoul in 1967, has been teaching traditional taekwondo for over 40 years. His approach focuses on self-defense, discipline and personal development, allowing each student to progress both physically and mentally.

He personally teaches every day alongside his instructors, ensuring high-quality supervision and faithful transmission of his knowledge.

A former member of the Belgian national team and military elite athlete, he participated in the 1987 World Championship in Barcelona. He started teaching at the age of 16 in 7 clubs, including Knokke and Bruges. He was then called to military service, which he completed as a military elite athlete in taekwondo while continuing his sporting career at the highest level.

With the same conviction and dedication, he still works tirelessly today for the transmission of taekwondo as his main activity, both within the Academy and in many schools.

His vision is to offer every student long-term opportunities for growth by encouraging continuous learning, openness and respect for the fundamental values of taekwondo.

“Teaching built on discipline, respect and passion.”

✔ Structured belt examinations

The examinations within the Academy follow the official standards of Kukkiwon, the world headquarters of taekwondo based in South Korea.

This recognition guarantees our students internationally valid certifications, allowing them to continue their journey anywhere in the world.

The evaluation system is progressive and demanding, valuing technique, discipline and the personal growth of each practitioner.

Our goal is to provide clear, fair and recognized progression while respecting the traditions of taekwondo.

DOBOK

Why black or white?

In our Academy, the traditional white dobok (= uniform) is worn from black belt level (= Dan) or during official taekwondo events (competitions, seminars, ...).

Before reaching this level, students wear a black dobok for practical reasons (outdoor training, easier maintenance) as well as symbolic reasons. The black color of the dobok does not affect the official quality of the taekwondo instruction you receive.

The symbol of our Academy : PADO

A strong symbol representing the spirit and philosophy of our Academy.

The term Pado, which means “wave ” in Korean, symbolizes movement, continuity and constant progress.

Like a wave, the learning of taekwondo is built over time through consistency, perseverance and adaptation.

This symbol reflects the philosophy of our Academy : to constantly evolve while remaining faithful to the fundamental values of taekwondo.

It also embodies the balance between strength and self-control, between tradition and evolution.

Pado also becomes a language of greeting used by club members to express different meanings and messages.

“Like a wave, the practitioner constantly evolves with strength and self-control.”
