Short introduction
Master Kim
Master Kim, 7th Dan, of Korean origin and born in Seoul in 1967, has been teaching for 40 years, mainly traditional taekwondo.
His teaching focuses on real-life self-defense, self-confidence, assertiveness, and discipline.
His pedagogical approach enables each student to develop not only their physical skills but also their mental strength and personal confidence.
He personally teaches every day, alternating between clubs and schedules, together with his black belts, whom he has carefully trained over the years.
A former member of the Belgian national team and participant in the World Taekwondo Championships in Barcelona (1987), Master Kim began teaching at the age of 16, in seven clubs stretching from Knokke to Bruges.
He was later called up for military service, which he completed as a taekwondo elite soldier, while continuing to compete.
Today, with the same passion and dedication, he continues to transmit taekwondo as his main activity, within the Academy and in several schools.
His vision is to open doors for his students as widely as possible, helping them to pursue their personal goals — by offering access to training programs, encouraging them to attend external seminars (clubs, federations, etc.), and ensuring they keep learning and develop independent thinking.
The Academy
Our Academy currently includes clubs in Uccle and Saint-Gilles, as well as partner clubs in, Forest (Luc), Liège/Herstal, and Dubai, all of which have joined our Academy.
We offer up to six days of taekwondo training per week.
Respect, discipline, and rigor are the core values of our Academy.
We place great importance on the social and educational role of our teaching.
Our strong multicultural diversity — in origin, religion, and social background — is both a strength and a wealth, fostering human experiences, mutual respect, and social cohesion.
Our club also counts several Belgian champions and around fifty black belts.
Our Exams
Exams are held within the Academy, where the Dan grades awarded by Master Kim are official and internationally recognized.
These grades are issued by the Kukkiwon in Seoul, to which we are directly affiliated.
Since 1972, this global institution has governed, promoted, and regulated all official taekwondo techniques worldwide and within national federations, in cooperation with the World Taekwondo Federation (WT).
Master Kim’s personal participation in training sessions and updates in Korea, and his commitment to maintaining this official recognition system, serve one clear purpose:
to ensure transparency, continuity, and a fair and equal development for every practitioner — providing equal access to teaching, refereeing, grading panels, international seminars, and global instructor training.
Our Classes
Accessible from the age of 5, our classes are generally organized and divided into four age groups:
Children – Aspirants – Juniors – Adults.
The annual membership provides complete flexibility and unlimited access to all classes corresponding to the age group or rank across our different clubs.
Training camps are also offered throughout the year.

Uniform: Why Black or White?
In our Academy, the traditional white dobok (= uniform) is worn from black belt (Dan) level or during official Taekwondo events (competitions, seminars, etc.).
Before reaching this rank, students wear a black dobok, chosen for practical reasons (outdoor training, easy maintenance) as well as symbolic ones.
The black color of the dobok in no way affects the official recognition of the taekwondo instruction you receive.
The theme of our club is “PADO” — why and what does it mean?
Pado means wave in Korean.
It symbolizes the Dan members (= black belts) who look after and support the Kup members (= students below black belt level).
Pado has also evolved into a form of greeting, used among club members to express various meanings and shared values.
